This page is intended to keep you up to date on all the happenings in the band room.

SUPPLIES NEEDED for Band 2023-2024
ALL STUDENTS: MATERIALS NEEDED
- All students need a black 1” binder with 2 dividers
- A pencil for class (can leave in instrument case, if room)
- A label/tag on their instrument (see Ms. Penwell if needed)
CLARINET/SAXOPHONES
- GRADE 7 CLARINET PLAYERS - Reeds - Rico Royal (blue box, not orange) 2.5 *or* Vandoren 2 *or* D’Addario Royal 2 (these are available from Ms. Penwell for $4)
- Cleaning kit with swap to clean instrument
- Cork Grease
TRUMPET / BARITONE / TROMBONE
- Valve oil (Heitmans or Blue Juice brand)
- Slide grease (trombones)
- Spray bottle (trombones)
BASS PLAYERS
- Patch cord
- Practice amp
FLUTE PLAYERS
- cleaning rod and soft cloth (bandana cut in half is great)
- Polishing cloth
- optional, but very helpful - powder paper pad (12.99 at Long & McQuade)
PERCUSSION
- Sticks: Vic Firth SD1 or 5A
- Pair of hard mallets
- Practice pad (bring to class)
- Bell kit (optional - good help for at home practice, can rent these from Long & McQuade
CONCERT DATES FOR 2023-2024
December 7th, 2023 - holiday concert 7pm - at ESDH for grades 7-12
March 26th. 2024 - musical celebration 7pm (grades 10-12
only + Musical Theatre collective)
june 11th, 2024 - spring concert at GBJH for grades 7-9
